“Platonic Tsuranuite” by Kaori Sakagami (Ranma 1/2 1st ending)

The two of us at the beach with no one else
The moment of high merriment has quieted down

I don’t know why I am afraid of your pupils that have become reticent
The sky, the sea, even the waves have become distant

Ah, even if it’s a touch from your pinky, it makes me short-circuit
Wait a little until love develops

I gently brush away a grain of sand from your lips
I see my reflection within your eyes

Let’s keep it platonic
It’s a promise
Let’s keep it platonic
I love* you

Suddenly it began to rain and together in haste
We ran towards the car along the street

Ah, the rough way you pulled my arm
It looks like you may end up breaking it, be more gentle

What my heart has decided on
Maybe only the infinite waves know the answer

Let’s keep it platonic
It’s too soon now
Let’s keep it platonic
Enough so that it hurts

If I said the truth, even if it’s just a kiss,
I felt like it I would’ve allowed it

Let’s keep it platonic
It’s a promise
Let’s keep it platonic
I love* you

In Japanese, 愛 (ai) is the noun for love while 好き (suki) can also be used for love, especially really liking someone, though maybe more in the sense of a huge crush than intense, passionate love.
